I found these two mirrors at Lowes on clearance for $10 each. Pretty good deal I thought for a 20×24″ mirror. I knew I wanted to paint the frames, but I wasn’t sure where I’d put them.
I finally decided on my bedroom so I knew they would need to get antiqued.
You’ll really only need these two things: paint and faux technique glaze (maybe some primer, depending on what you’re painting over).
First step: tape around inside of glass.
Paint on the white. I used a regular bristled brush.
After it’s completely dry. Get out the faux glaze, I used a sponge brush, it seems to work best.
This technique works best when you have all of these awesome groves for the glaze to get down into.
Hung them myself above this big (already antiqued dresser). Added four little coaster frames (4×4) in between. That uses the same fabric I used in the photo below.
Valance and pillow sham! I love my bedroom! Oh and also a little table I repurposed into a side bench. I’ll have to photograph how cute that is too!
