Chicken hummus wraps
I got this awesome recipe for chicken hummus wraps from my friend Danielle. And, let me tell you, after I tasted it, I’ll make any recipe she gives me. It was SO good, and so easy too!
Ingredients: Pita bread (fresh is best), grilled chicken (I used frozen), hummus (Sabre is the best), lettuce and tomatoes.
First microwave your chicken (or grill it, I mean, if you know how to do that).
Then spray and start to preheat a pan.
Lay out your pita bread. This stuff was sooo good, I got this from a local bakery. If it’s not soft, wrap it in a wet paper towel and microwave. Mine was soft, I had it in my hot car for about 2 hours.
Next, get a scoop of your hummus. Don’t be shy.
Smear it onto your pita bread.
Next, grab a couple pieces of lettuce and lay them on top of the hummus.
The grilled chicken is next.
Then the tomato slices. I wasn’t shy here either. I love tomatoes.
Wrap it. It should stick because of the hummus on the edges.
Place seam side down in your hot pan.
After a couple minutes, spray the other side of your wrap.
Now this is what I call the “quick flip.” I call it this because this baby is HOT, so flip it quick.
Wow, look at that, perfectly browned. Let it cook for another couple of minutes.
Take it out of the pan and gobble it up.
Or, cut it in half and serve it like this. Enjoy!
