Alright, I’ll bet you’re sick and tired of hearing about pizza and especially Papa Murphy’s pizza. And, really, it’s not like I love the stuff, it’s just that they had a good deal on it. I decided I would get some extra larges so I could freeze them. I’ve never done this before and I can’t seem to find someone I know who’s actually done it either. So I went to google. When in doubt, google.
Several people had suggested having the people at Papa Murphy’s double or triple wrap the pizza. When I walked in they weren’t busy, but by the time they got to my pizzas they had a line of people waiting so I felt bad asking them to triple wrap it. I asked them to double wrap it. But when I got home it really didn’t seem like it was wrapped any more than they usually wrap it. Sigh.
So, I decided to try wrapping some foil around it too — I’d read that that was a good idea. Yeah, sounds much easier than it actually was.
Here they are all wrapped up and ready to freeze. Yay!
Um, not so cool when I went to actually stick them in my freezer and I realized that the freezer wasn’t actually wide enough to let them lay flat. I certainly wasn’t going to cook them all right away, so I just pushed them in there.
When it comes time to cook these bad boys I’ll have some curled edges. Oh well. Pizza’s pizza, right? At least Preston thinks so.
I’ll do a follow-up post on how they turn out after I bake them, because I know you care.
