Alarm clock — day 1, 2 & 3

Day one with the Stoplight Alarm Clock: maya went to bed around 7:40 pm and didn’t wake up at all in the middle of the night for the bathroom. At 4:45 am I heard her little feet running to the bathroom. I met her in there, she looked at me and said, “I’m ready to get up.” I told her, “The light is still red, so we have to go back to sleep.”

She went in there and talked on and off until 5:50 am. Then she yelled from her bed, ” MOMMY!”

So i went in there and she said she was ready to get up. I felt bad, so I walked over and turned the red-light off and told her she could get up. Boy did she get mad when I did that. She said, “no mommy! The light didn’t turn green!”

I turn the red light back on and said, “alright come get me when it turns green (that was in 3 minutes)”

Right when it turned green she bounced out of bed and came running in. “It turned green!”

Day two: bedtime at 7:40 pm. No waking in the middle of the night. Up again at 4:30 am. She peed and ran back to her bed. I think maybe she fell back asleep because she was pretty quiet until 5:30 am. Then she got up to pee again. I met her in there and told her the light was still red and she could get up when it turned green.

She went back to bed and talked to her dolls, sang songs and played in bed. Then right at 6:00 am I heard her giggle. She jumped up and ran into our room and said, “it turned green, come see!”

Day three: bedtime around 7:50 pm. She woke up at 10:30 pm to pee, she was pretty out of it, she wanted preston to rock her. Woke again at 1:30 am, peed and got right back in bed. Woke again at 4:30 am, peed and got mad at me when I met her in the bathroom. She ran into her room, I covered her up and she slept until 6:25 am!!

Preston says he won’t believe the clock works until four days. Here’s hoping tomorrow morning is just as good as yesterday, minus the three pee breaks. (:
