Well, i don’t really have a comment on the dog as far as which one to get. Jeanette’s mom has a retriever (not sure if it’s a mix or all retriever or what that means even if I knew). Anyway, she was complaining that the dog’s always putting stuff in its mouth and bringing her stuff. And Jeanette said, “Mom, it’s a RETRIEVER!” LOL!!!

I always figured one of us would end up with a dog. I’m just glad it’s not me. Well, I’m not married. So, not much chance of that anyway, I guess. Ryan and Jeanette are getting a dog and they’re trying to get me to spend time with it as a puppy so I can grow up with it. Hahaha. I told them I’ll come over when it’s trained not to lick me, jump on me, or growl at me. I think they were offended. 😉 My point is apparently there’s something to the “growing up with” idea.

My only suggestion is to avoid the dogs that slobber. Because I think that would gross you out.

Dude, that’s what we’re gonna train this thing to no do. No licking, no jumping and no growling. Preston says it’s totally do-able! And, yes, a no slobber dog.

Preston was explaining that a “mix” just means it’s lots of different kinds of dogs, it wasn’t from two labs or just a lab and a retriever, like the mommy dog had some lab, retriever and something else (or something like that) — like a little mixed baby. (:

Now I can’t decide if I like the black or the blonde dogs. For some reason the blonde dogs seem a little less scary to me. Although, the black one we saw (it’s the one in the picture), wasn’t scary at all (probably because he was still a puppy and only 10 lbs) and I imagine I won’t be scared of it if I “grow up with it.”

PS, I would have never gotten a dog if I lived by myself, and the only reason I’m gonna get one now is because I know Preston will take care of it, bathe it, train it, and all that jazz, so I won’t have much to worry about. And, I really do think it’ll be good for Maya (and the new baby), I really don’t want her to be as afraid of dogs as I am.

Rocky thinks he wants a dog.. But, I know he doesn’t realize how much work it is and I absolutely cannot take care of one. I have no desire to do that. Connor can just go over and play with Maya’s doggie! And as long as we are somewhere else, my goal is to make sure we live next door to someone with a dog. =)

Oh, and for the record, I do think this one is super cute! And I do think the grown up black ones are more scary than the blonde ones, too! Oh, and if I were getting one, I’d definitely want one that could do tricks!

    Awwwwww! Hi puppy dog. 🙂

PS: Kimmy, “tricks” like… “Go get me a turkey pot pie” tricks?? 🙂

Maybe one day, your dog will be as good as Maggie. We could arrange a play-date and Maggie could teach it a thing or two.
