I’ll start this post out with this, I’m cheap. Like super cheap. My family knows it, my closest friends know it, and hell, even some of my co-workers know it.
So, being a BzzAgent is the perfect thing for me. I get to try new things without paying for them and then I get to review them.
I was pretty excited when I was invited to this campaign:

Free food. Score. And it looked pretty good too. They sent me a coupon for a free pizza, a free appetizer and a free dessert. All I had to do was drive to a Dillons(Kroger) and pick it out.
Preston and I tried the appetizer, Southwestern Chicken Trumpets, and, I’ll say I was less than impressed especially for the price. $6.99 for 9 trumpets (they were teeny, tiny too). The chicken was sticking out of the front as they baked and I wonder if that’s why I had a dried out/stale taste to it. So, the first bite definitely wasn’t the best. I thought the last bite was pretty good though. Good flavor and none of at stale-tasting chicken.
Preston said, “these are pretty good, but would have been better dipped in ranch.” Haha, we’re a ranch-dipping family.
I would buy them again if I only had to pay $1, but any more than that, forget it. Get a better chicken Kroger!
I wish I would have taken a picture, but, well, I didn’t. So, I goggled instead and found Ms Frugal’s review and picture. She actually bought the exact same things I did, so it was nice to read her review too! She thought the chicken tasted stale too, just sayin.
Check back later for my review of the BBQ chicken pizza (if the chicken tastes anything like the chicken in the trumpets, forget it!) and the cream puffs (no chicken there, so we’re good).
