Excuses are easy
So, I’m supposed to run 15 miles tomorrow. But, I’ve already started making excuses as to why I can’t run that far. I’ve got a cold. Or maybe it’s just allergies. I can’t tell which. I even took my excuse far enough to text my sister and tell her why I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to run 15 miles tomorrow. I’m sick.
She asked if I was getting enough sleep, because running on not enough sleep makes her allergies worse. But, who has time for sleep? Not me. I have kids and I keep sneezing. I’m sick.
I was going to skip blogging today too. You know, since I’m sick.
Then my sister called and asked if she could take the kids out for frozen yogurt since I wasn’t feeling well. I guess maybe I can blog today. And, maybe I’ll be able to run tomorrow too.
Good thing Ryan Blair came and knocked some sense into me, “If it’s important to you, you will find a way. If it’s not, you’ll find an excuse.”
