Learning is the opposite of stupid
I had to take a group picture today and I was a little (okay, a lot) nervous. I was popping tums for breakfast. People make me nervous. Especially people I’m taking pictures of. You know, because I’m gonna screw up. Obviously.
I had someone helping me who knows a lot (like, a whole lot) more about cameras than I do. So, naturally, I get nervous. I just assume I’m going to say or do something stupid. Like, fall off of a step stool (totally happened) or forget to take the lens cap off (almost happened).
“Are you nervous?” Another guy asked.
“Uh yeah.” I replied, face beat red, sweat starting to form on my forehead.
“I get nervous too. I’d be concerned if you weren’t nervous.” Said the awesome photographer helping me.
“What?! You never look nervous.” I blurted out.
“Well, not on the outside, ” he laughed, “there’s always that chance you’re gonna mess up.”
PS, don’t worry, Mom, I totally didn’t get hurt.
