So, I can’t believe I didn’t know which songs Pat Benatar sang. Seriously, I just looked through her top 36 best hits and I know A LOT of them. I’m sad to say I was 5 minutes late at the chance of getting to meet her. Now she’s one artist who I would take a picture with, heck, I’d even buy a CD and ask her to autograph it. I might even buy a CD now, just because I want to.

Yep, she’s in Wichita for a concert tomorrow with REO Speedwagon at Intrust Bank Arena! Some sources told me where her bus was — I was just along for the ride (and to take pictures, of course). We spotted 3 buses right away, but they were just plain ol’ generic buses. I mean who wants to embarrass themselves by knocking and asking if this is indeed Pat Benatar’s bus? Then, a driver emerged from the bus we were sitting next to, the conversation went as followed:
Friend: Are you with Pat Benatar?
Driver: Yes, you just missed her. She left 5 minutes ago to go to a hotel.
Friend: Really? Can we take a picture of her bus?
Driver: Sure, but it’s pretty dirty.
Friend: She probably wouldn’t have taken pictures with us anyway, right?
Driver: Oh no, she would have, she’s really cool.
Friend: Oh, dang. Who do those other buses belong to?
Driver: One is Pat’s crew, the other is REO Speedwagon’s crew, they’ll be here tomorrow.
Then he continued to talk to us while I took pictures of the bus. It’s a boring old bus, but it is Pat Benatar’s bus!
And just a small reminder of her songs, incase you’re anything like me and have forgotten: We Belong, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Prisoner of Love, Shadows of the Night, Love is a Battlefield…
