Stop me if you’ve heard this one: A husband and wife walk into a bar. The husband shoots the wife, then posts a picture of her dead body on Facebook. But, not before posting a confession as his status.
Oh wait, that’s not a joke. Well, the first part isn’t true, they weren’t at a bar.
Holy cow. And, who posts a picture of their wife they just shot on Facebook. And, then tags her in it, with the caption, “RIP.” (Don’t worry, I won’t post it. And, even minimal searching doesn’t bring it up, without major blurring.)
But, damn, dude, that’s messed up.
He talks of abuse from her. And, maybe she did abuse him. How would I know? Maybe he’d had enough. Maybe he did snap. But, their 10 year old daughter was in the house. She was in the house! She’s the one I feel sorry for. I can definitely remember stuff from when I was ten. But, I only had normal 10-year-old stuff to remember.
And, apparently, this guy is a writer, he even has a website. ”Derek Medina is an emotional writer. His goal is to save people’s lives thru his books he has published,” the website says. “My goal is for you, the readers, to open up your eyes and change for the better.”
This news made me think about this quote, “don’t judge the way I am until you know my story” but when I hear stories like this is really hard for me not to judge. But, I’ll try not to. I’ll leave the judging up to you. Here’s the full article on CNN.
