Twinsies, three years apart
Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky…
I was blessed with one cute little redheaded girl. Then, I was blessed with one cute little redheaded boy. They were born almost 3 years apart: Maya on January 14 (2008) and Maddox on January 4 (2011).
I guess Preston and I must have some of the same genes… The cute gene being the most prominent and the redheaded gene being the second. (;
Wait, well I think I’ve talked about how crazy it is for me to have two redheads. But what I haven’t talked about is them being twinsies. Well, three years apart twinsies, that is.
Whenever someone sees my little munkins together, they’re sure to tell me how much they look alike. It’s hard for me to see it it when I take their pictures together. I mean, Maddox is a boy, Maya is a girl and they’re three years apart in age.
But, when I compare pictures like this…
Maya: 13 months old (January 2009) Maddox: 11 months old (December 2011)
Holy cow! Same eyes, same expression, same face. No photoshoppin’ going on there.
I gave Maddox that same toy that Maya had three years ago and bam, it was like he knew just what to do with it… smoke it like a cigar. And, I didn’t show him Maya’s picture first, either. I mean, he’s pretty smart, I think he’d know what to do if I showed him.
The big question is: would we have another redhead? Preston says we won’t ever know. I say, we’ll see. (;
