It’s BzzAgent Blendra back with another review. This time Kroger yogurt.
Things were looking good from the get-go because BzzAgent sent me a $10 Kroger gift card so I could try Kroger CARBmasters and Greek/Greek Lite yogurts. I was stoked.
But, not that stoked, I’m not really a yogurt eater. I just don’t really like it. I really try to like it, because it’s all healthy and good for you. But the aftertaste, yuck.
Today was the day, Friday, 9:30 am, at work:
“Alright, guys, I’m gonna try this greek yogurt from Kroger right now.”
“Let me take your picture trying this.”
“Ew. This is not good, I can’t eat this.”
“You have to finish the whole thing or it’s not an honest review.”
“Dude, if i finish the whole thing I’ll be throwing up in the bathroom.”
It had this really thick consistency (apparently that’s how greek yogurt is) with a sorta sour flavor (apparently that’s not how goooood greek yogurt is).
Trust me, I tried to eat it.
I kept wanting to take bites of the yogurt as it sat on my desk taunting me, but I knew I’d regret it. I knew it had to go in the trash, but, that meant either licking the remainder of the yogurt off of the spoon or walking all the way back to the kitchen to clean it off. Why, didn’t I use a plastic spoon so I could just throw it all away? Why?!
I chose the licking. Bad idea.
Events in this picture have been dramatized for effect
So, then my co-workers had to deal with the annoying crack, crack, chomp, chomp, chomp of shelled pistachios because that greek yogurt was too disgusting to finish and I was still hungry. And, I licked the spoon, so had to get that sour aftertaste out of my mouth asap.
PS, I had tried the CARBmasters yogurt a couple days ago (Cinnamon Roll and Black Forrest Ham Cherry Cola Cake), it had the same texture as any regular yogurt, so that was okay. But to the flavor, I give you a yuck. I understand your goal here: low carbs = low sugar = fake sugar. I can’t do fake sugar. At all. But, for people who can do fake sugar, maybe you’ll really love this stuff. The black cherry was definitely better than the cinnamon roll, except for the chunks of cherry. I don’t like chunks mixed into creamy foods. I just don’t.
Buuuut, as much as I hate the fake sugar taste, I could at least finish the whole container of CARBMasters yogurt. The greek, not so much.
